49-year-old Roxanne Marin has been a community activist for all her adult life. The Belize City resident has volunteered to help better her community. For some time now, she has been an advocate for persons with disabilities. This week, she appears on the media seeking assistance for herself as she requires surgery for fibroids. She noted that, like most Belizeans who live from paycheck to paycheck, it has been difficult to source the money to deal with such an unexpected financial shock.
